About Me
I have been working as a psychotherapist for 10 years. My foundation is Person-Centred Psychotherapy, which belongs to the humanistic tradition.
My roots are in education. I am an educator, special education teacher, psychomotor educator and forest educator. Through many years of experience working in education with children with and without diagnoses, supporting their parents, and collaborating with other educators, I developed a resource-oriented view of each individual.
I have had – and continue to have – many wonderful teachers and mentors in my life who have shaped and continue to expand my ability to accompany people in their development. I am also very happy to share my knowledge with others and to keep allowing myself to be inspired and enriched by new ideas.
Receiving new impulses and continuing my professional development are important resources for me personally and for my work.
Being in contact with nature enriches my life, whether it is walking the dog in the forest, gardening or creating art with natural materials. I also draw on this love of nature as a resource in my psychotherapeutic work.
I am in a relationship myself, I am a mother of two children, and I approach other cultures and the diversity of human relationships with deep openness and curiosity. For me, there is no rigid formula for love – every relationship model and every sexual orientation is equally welcome and valued in my practice.
Having a dog by my side has always been important in my life, even as a child, and now also in my work. After having to say goodbye to my first therapy dog, Milo, at almost 16 years of age, this lovely fellow is now by my side as a co-therapist:
Ferdinand
Ferdi or Ferdl for short, is an almost two-year-old mixed-breed male dog (Miniature Poodle and Cocker Spaniel) with whom I am currently in the final stage of training as a certified therapy companion dog.
He accompanies me wherever I go, usually lies somewhere comfortably in the room, looks for a little affection, or – if you wish – is consciously and actively involved in the therapeutic process.
He is happiest in the forest and out in the meadow, too – and if there happens to be a piece of cheese here and there, he is the happiest dog in the world.
